Finally Weekend

September 18, 2009

nogizaka-haruka-no-himitsu-12-large-ending-09Finally  this school week has ended! And even though I still need to study, I will have more time to relax than I had last weekend. Only today I have watched 7 anime episodes – only “Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu” too. I watched the first 2 episodes to breakfast and after I came home I continued to relax and watch some.
It’s not a very good anime, but kinda fun and relaxing + the main heroine is an Otaku. I will probably be able to finish watch it tomorrow, and then I think I will move on to Ef – a tale of Melodies. I finished watching Ef – a tale of memories yesterday, and melodies is a prequel for memories, so I can’t wait to watch it. It was a really interesting anime, very poetic with a different variety of scene animation.

I also got some time over today to  draw some manga, finishing the picture with Misaki and Shiya which I started on at the beginning of this week. I’m to lazy to scan it, plus it’s only a sketch.
But they are both characters from my big fantasy story and work in a group I nicknamed a long time ago for “Band of elves” = so of course both of them are elves 😛 In this drawing Misaki looks weak while Shiya has an evil smile, while moving away the hair in front of Misakis right eye – to see the process of the demon eye. Too lazy to describe it more, instead I will try to get my scanner to work XD

Daily life

For the moment, I’m just so tired, or rather sick of being busy =_=
Going from a kinda NEET life to a course on full time ia a big difference – and it has only just begun!
So I still have 9 weeks to go + 6 weeks of practical training. So in only 10 weeks I need to master everything, and since my brain works as fast and good as a new smashed chicken egg, my brain is already over steamed.

But, at least I manage to watch some anime and draw some manga, so I guess it is ok…or it will be if I add some manga and game play with it.
For the moment I’m drawing some of the characters from a fantasy story in different groups and add some of their thoughts. It is so fun to see characters I created years ago, but seldom draw, together with their companions ^^

My Manga Uppdate : The dark armchair

August 9, 2009

2 days ago I finnaly finished chapter 2 of my manga. I made it into 7pages, so not too much happend.
I wanted to scan it over to my pc, but somehow the cable to the scanner is gone XD
I have been looking for it everywhere, and I will have to do it one more time to find it -___-

Basically, it is about the meeting between a young magican and a girl who calls herself Medusa.
The first chapter, which was more of a prolouge, is more like the end to what happens later on. Though, I had no time to think when I made that one – since I didn’t plan anything beforehand and only used 1h for each page etc – basically, it sucked =_=
So chapter 2 is their first meeting with each other.
In the short time, they both shows that they want to use each other for something.

I decided to make chapter 3 in the double amount of the one before = 14 pages. I still have only sketched 10 of them, but I’m coming up at the climax right now and will round it up for the last 2 pages.
The title for the chapter was given to me from my friend Bullen.
After considering it for a while he said ” the dark chair, that will be your title” lol ^^
…..but when I was creating the “dark chair” I liked the design of an armchair more, so sorry Bullen – I changed it XD
It is black and has a biiiiiiiiiiig mouth :3

Plot : After using the teleport, Medusa and Yuji, the magican, ends up in a room where they meet the house owner – a black armchair. What kind of influence will the armchair have on the still new formed bond between Medusa and Yuji, and what kind of horrible plans are spinning inside of that big mouth?

Lol, dramatic ne 😛
I will be done with the sketch of this tonight, and then I will use this week to draw it ^^
I plan to order a real G-pen or something like that, since the pen I use for the lines right now is too thick.
Also I want to buy a Tipex pen (the one Mörre had that I used was awesome! ) and finishing, I want to get Manga studio on my pc + master it!
…it would really advance my manga, at least that is what I belive.
So anyway, has to work hard with my drawings ne ^^
_a.f.k._ Lucky Star - 19 _1__0001

(Btw, not sure if I’m going to go with this blog again, just wanted to check the difference =_= *sorry* )

Otana ni nuts

September 22, 2008

I thought that I should just continue reviewing a couple of manga, at least the unusual ones. Here come another one that I started to read again( read two chapter before ) and finished reading almost right away.
It is called Otona ni Nuts = Instant teen.

The story is about Natsumi who wants to hurry and grow up to become a sexy teenager, and faster than she could dream of, she actually becomes one right away. The secret lies in the special nuts she got that changes her body. This makes it possible for her to meet with the hairstylist she has been watching along time.
Even though the pattern can already clearly be seen, I don’t think it is any surprise that this is a typical Shojo comic, where the Heroine stumbles upon small problems that makes her cry right away, but also quickly gets comforted by the ever next Hero, which in this case is her childhood friend Asuma.

Like with Far Away, I don’t feel the need to hide the fact of who she will fall in love with,or rather end up with, since it is obvious from the start. Right from the start you will see that Asuma is in love with Natsumi ,like most “we are just childhood friends, how could we love each other” comic.

At some points, I got really irritated with the manga style, since not everything felt purely detailed.
The best pictures were mostly of the older Natsumi. And towards the end, I got irritated at the story for not using the option that I was looking forward all the time:

Spoiler:
Atsuma never got to turn into an older version, which was a big disappointment. He did use some other nuts, which made him switch body with Natsumi. It would have been great to see his grown-up version 😦
Anyway, for you who seeks a really lame shojo manga, with just a little spice, I guess this is the right story.
I haven’t done this before, but if I would give this manga a grading, it would probably be something like : 2/10

From Far Away

September 13, 2008

As I said Earlier, I will tell about a manga I just finished reading, From Far Away.
The manga started at the end of 1992 and vintaged to 2003.
It was published in LaLa by Hikawa Kyouko, who at the moment has
another serie running in LaLa called Otogimoyou Ayanishiki.

From Far Away is about a girl called Noriko Takichi, living an ordinary life in Japan, but after an explosion by some terrorist, she gets blown into another world. There she meets Izark, a beautiful young warrior, who helps her. What she doesn’t know is that Izark is in fact cursed by a legend said to destroy the world, and that the one who will awaken this side of him is the “Awakening”coming from another world,  which would be Noriko. But seeing that the Awakening is just a little girl, Izark takes her with him.Noriko doesn’t know anything of this, as the first problem she stumbles across is an language barrier.
After that they stumble across different adventures and meet new friends and enemys, as their feelings for each other develops and as their destiny becomes clearer.

The story’s feeling is kinda similar to Fushigi Yuugi, with the “girl from another world” way.  And izark is kinda like a Tamahome, except his funny ways and money addiction, lol,  always taking care of Noriko.

In Fushigi Yuugi, except Tamahome, all of the other guys in it are also beautiful. In From far Away, except Izark and some other, the rest is kinda…ugly, lol. Since I’m a person that easily grows attached to a nearby side character, but to not really have that in this comic was an experience.
I think that is a  reason for me instead clinging to the main character and their love ( I don’t think I’m spoiling anything with saying this, since it is obvious that they will fall in love with each other)  and I’m usually someone who is against cliche loves, but in this manga I enjoyed it a lot, just because their love was very nice.

Even though I had expected more from this manga, it was still pretty good, awakening my desire to continue with my own fantasy manga^^. It is a great inspiration source, or just something easy read for the manga, shojo and fantasy lover. If you are still pretty new with manga, or don’t really like this genre, I guess you should wait to read it,lol. But it is worth to at least check it out :3
If you wonder about the blond gut to the right, that is kinda the only picture he looks good in,lol. He becomes too obsessed with fighting and his expression always ends up looking mad -.- ( I had some hope for him in the beginning, but that hope died pretty fast, lol.),

I had one favorite guy who really looked like a Bishounen. That was Irk, very cute and wise^^
Unfortunately, he was just a spirit-.-  but still, the part where he came was one of my favorites in the manga. The story about him was beautiful and unusual – don’t think I have read one like that  before.

Anyway, I guess I have said what I can say about this serie, lol. If you have any further question about it, feel free to ask^^

Manga

September 12, 2008

I’m on a roll right now, lol, so I was thinking of summarise this week a bit now. Even though I have mostly been to school and also taking it easy with my upcoming cold, but yesterday I made some purchase that still makes me excited to look at ^,^

As I said, I haven’t been up to too much this week, but I can still tell alittle bit about what we did at school. We have been studying more grammar and expression, practiced writing katakana while watching Hisayo-sensei, while she drew calligraphy. We have been practicing speaking with a headset, and because I was early for the lesson, I could watch some children show on NHK,lol. It was so funny, dancing and singing with a lot of little children running around, or just standing still clueless of the situation.
Later that same day, thursday, we had a lecture about japanese society today.
It was mostly basics, and I hope we will have another one.
Today, in  some hours I will have another lecture about japanese art in english. i hope it will go well ^^’

Anyway, now to the main thing: The manga I bought yesterday^^.
I still haven’t fully looked through them all, trying to restrain myself and save some of it for later.

Not much to say about it,lol. Just see for yourself ^.^
I also got a mobile string from LaLa with Nyanko-sensei from Natsume Yuujincho,
and a nice bag from Hana to Yume:3

Anyway, thats all for now. I will try to make some more reviews of some manga or anime. I have been thinking of writing about From Far Away, since it is an unusally manga and i will also probably finish it tonight.
I will end this with a picture of how the magazines look next to each other. This is my new room project aswell, lol = My new Magazine shelf, since the other one is full. I wil probably make it all shojo, so I will put down the rest of my LaLa’s and Hana to Yume aswell + some others, lol ^^

Devil & Devil

August 29, 2008

I had never heard of this manga before I started to read it, and I found it much better than I thought it would be, even though it has elements of a typical action serie,  the story evolves much more.
When I mean typical serie, I mean the standard routines of a Hero that fights evil, has friends by his side and a heroine to protect, this patterns can for example be seen in Flame of Recca.
Or it is always the same fighting pattern against evil: Gather and fight, struggle through and collect your power and defeat the last boss.
Anyway, as I said, Devil & Devil has these elements, but the most intriguing is to see how the relationship between Sword (the devil)and Ios (the angel)

The story starts with the war between Angels and Demons, where the most brutal demon, Sword is about to engage himself with his 101st battle with the the Angel Ios.  They manage to damage each other so much that they both fall down to the human world. Swords body is at its limits, but luckily he find a human host, Souma, which he transfer es his soul too. The same goes for Ios, who transfer es his soul to Kanna, Soumas older twin brother. With this the story really starts. Both of them most survive and return to their own body, but also need to endure the life of bodys owners.

The parts that first of all makes it amusing is the fact that Souma used to be bullied and a nerd, while Kanna was a delinquent. In the eyes of others, it is now like their personalitys has switched places.

These two covers may look like they has the same person, but like some of you understands, the character for them is difrent. At cover nr.5 you can see Kanna and Souma and at nr.7 is once again Sword and Ios.

A Little spoiler :
Later in the serie, both Souma and Kanna gets the cahance to act in their own bodies again. This leads to more exciting and amusing moments. It also makes it more interesting when the evil forces, both from heaven and hell, decides to attack.

Of course this serie doesn’t attract all kinds of people, but for you who like a nice atdventure, like a Shounen Jump adventure, I suggest that you try this serie.
The manga started 1998 but already finished 2000, then with 15 complete volumes.

Kateikyoushi Hitman Reborn

August 24, 2008

I used most of my day to read up the latest manga chapter and anime episodes.
The manga is still keeping the good feeling, no matter what elements pop ups, but the anime keeps getting worse because of all the bad fillers.
They are just trying to buy time, making small things long, like the conclusion of the last episode and so.
I just don’t get why they didn’t think of this before hand, when they still were in the “real” time. There is still parts of the manga that hasn’t reached the screen.
The best example is the Mafia boss that was in a few chapter a long time ago, around the ” fun chapter” times, before everything started getting serious with nonstop battles.
If it wasn’t because Mukuro came these last episodes, I’m not sure if I would have considerd watching it more, or maybe I would just have skipped the irritating part and watch the rest.
I guess it will be more enyoible when the battle parts come, since they are often less confusing than in the manga.
